Description
MitchCraft Tiny Homes is looking for a talented and experienced Architectural Designer to join our team, designing and building custom tiny homes of the highest quality in Fort Collins, CO. We are a team of talented builders and individuals focused on high quality craftsmanship, fantastic company culture, creating homes with intentional design and functionality, and sustainable growth of the company.
The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about design trends, product and material knowledge, and excels at communication and customer service. In addition to overall design strengths, this person should have excellent technical skills and be proficient in CAD software, in order to develop project drawings from initial design to the hand-off to production. This person will be working directly with each client, in order to create 2D and 3D renderings of their custom home utilizing online digital tools and designer software both for internal use and project management with the customer. This person is self-motivated and highly organized, able to work on multiple projects at once, both independently and in collaboration with the team and customers. The ideal designer is an active listener with an ability to interact and communicate well with clients, coworkers, trade partners, and vendors. The ability to deliver beautiful design while being conscientious of our clients’ budget parameters is important to the overall success of the MitchCraft team. This is an onsite, full-time position.
Requirements
The job requirements and responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- 5+ years architectural / interior design experience preferred (provide a portfolio with a minimum of 3 projects including plans).
- Proficient in Chief Architect X12 (or newer) with excellent 3D graphic rendering skills. (Current Chief Architect license will be provided)
- Excellent technical skills and familiarity with construction methods and terminology.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Project management software experience desired, but not required. (Mydoma, Ivy, Studio Designer, Dropbox, etc)
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Organized, self-starter with an eye for detail.
- Will take ownership of the designer’s role in MitchCraft’s production process.
- Able to manage the design schedule including setting and meeting deadlines.
- Create workable build plans (floorplans, elevations) and produce documents in a repeatable pattern with templates.
- Able to exceed customers’ design expectations and provide an extraordinary experience for the customer from design to completion.

MitchCraft Tiny Homes is seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter with a
strong work ethic and extensive knowledge of finish carpentry. Candidates must understand and
be able to perform quality installations of trim, moldings, casework, doors, hardware, etc.
The ideal person for this position is passionate about their craft, has an eye for detail, is able to
troubleshoot and problem solve, and has a desire to constantly improve their skill set. This
person is self-motivated and highly organized, able to work on multiple projects at once, both
independently and in collaboration with the team. This person can wear many hats and assist
other craftsmen in the tiny house build process, including assembly / building of custom
cabinetry and other detail oriented specialty projects.
Requirements
Responsibilities include:
● Punctual, efficient, maintains highest levels of professionalism and craftsmanship
● Follow all safety guidelines and instructions
● Work with the team to exceed industry standards of quality on projects
● Layout and calculate material requirements for daily tasks
● Daily clean-up of work areas
● Accurately track time and tasks performed on each project
● Assisting with other specialty millwork activities, including assembly of wooden box
beams, custom shelving, circular window trim assemblies, building cabinetry and storage
projects, etc.
Qualifications:
● 5+ years of Finish Carpentry experience
● Ability to exceed in job description listed above, while improving upon processes
● Experienced with residential construction techniques
● Extensive Tool Knowledge
● Able to read blueprints and trim schedules
● Desire to constantly improve skill set
● Organized, self-starter with an eye for detail

The ideal person for this position is passionate about their craft, has an eye for detail, is able to troubleshoot and problem solve, and has a desire to constantly improve their skill set. This person is self-motivated and highly organized, able to work on multiple projects at once, both independently and in collaboration with the team. This person can wear many hats and assist other craftsman in the tiny house build process, including detail oriented specialty projects.
Responsibilities include
