Framing Carpenter Assistant

Description

MitchCraft Tiny Homes is seeking an experienced framing carpenter (helper position) with experience and knowledge in framing and/or residential carpentry. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and be able to work directly with our lead framer to build all tiny homes from the trailer up to the finish stage. 

The ideal person for this position is passionate about their craft, has an eye for detail, is able to troubleshoot and problem solve, and has a desire to constantly improve their skill set.  This person is self-motivated and highly organized, able to work on multiple projects at once, both independently and in collaboration with the team.  This person can wear many hats and assist other craftsman in the tiny house build process, including detail oriented specialty projects.

Requirements

Responsibilities include

  • Punctual, efficient, maintains highest levels of professionalism and craftsmanship.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and instructions
  • Work with the team to exceed industry standards of quality on projects
  • Layout and calculate material requirements for daily tasks
  • Structural and interior framing
  • Sheathing
  • Window and door installation
  • Exterior siding and trim
  • Other miscellaneous carpentry tasks
  • Daily clean-up of work areas
  • Accurately track time and tasks performed on each project

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in framing and/or residential carpentry -minimum 2 years experience.
  • Ability to excel in job description listed above, while improving upon processes
  • Takes ownership of the Framing phase of production
  • Experienced with residential construction techniques
  • Extensive Tool Knowledge
  • Desire to constantly improve skill set.
  • Organized, self-starter with an eye for detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Highly detail oriented, able to follow correct procedures and building plans
  • Kind, humble, and good spirited

Typical working schedule is (4) 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday. Pay will be dependent on experience ($20-$25/hr), and will involve a short paid working interview to assess skill set and fit on the crew.

Mechanical/Plumbing Lead

Job Description: 

MitchCraft Tiny Homes is seeking an experienced Mechanical / Plumbing Lead with a strong work ethic and extensive knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems. Candidates must understand and be able to perform quality installations of home ventilation systems, plumbing fixtures, propane gas lines and more.

The ideal person for this position is passionate about their craft, has an eye for detail, is able to troubleshoot and problem solve, and has a desire to constantly improve their skill set.  This person is self-motivated and highly organized, able to work on multiple projects at once, both independently and in collaboration with the team.  This person can wear many hats and assist other craftsman in the tiny house build process, including detail oriented specialty projects.

Responsibilities include

  • Daily clean-up of work areas

  • Installation of all home ventilation systems (kitchen, bath, etc)
  • Installation of rough plumbing / propane gas lines
  • Finish installation of all plumbing fixtures (sinks, faucets, shower systems, etc)
  • Appliance installations
  • Systems pressure testing & quality control
  • Other misc. mechanical / plumbing type projects

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of mechanical / plumbing experience
  • Ability to excel in job description listed above, while improving upon processes
  • Takes ownership of the MEP phase of production
  • Experienced with residential construction techniques
  • Extensive Tool Knowledge
  • Able to read blueprints and Finish Schedules
  • Desire to constantly improve skill set.
  • Organized, self-starter with an eye for detail
  • Confidence. Does not need a lot of direction on “how to”.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Highly detail oriented, able to follow correct procedures and building plans
  • Kind, humble, and good spirited
